School Council

The school council is made up of children from across the school. These are elected during our Democracy Week in September. We meet regularly to discuss pupil matters, any points of interest and to work towards our 'Pupil Development Plan' (below).

At the beginning of the academic year, we set pupil-led targets across four main areas:

  1. Learning and Curriculum
  2. Behaviour and Culture
  3. Personal Development
  4. Vision and Values

This year's objectives:

2023-24 Autumn Term Review Document:

Last year (2022-23), our School Council worked on the 'Anti-bullying Guide for Pupils' (below). This was introduced in assembly and a copy is now given to all pupils to take home and explore with parents every year during Anti-bullying week.

Our Good Practice Seekers (during their July 23 inspection) found that our work on anti-bullying was successful. Children could confidently talk about what bullying is and what they should do if they experience it or witness it. See our 'Pupil Inspectors' page for more information.
