Welcome from the headteacher
I would like to wish you a warm welcome to our school. We are a happy, caring and friendly team at St Peter's C of E, with strong relationships between staff and pupils and between the school and the local community. We believe in putting the children at the heart of what we do and want to develop all aspects of every child as they travel through the school - really giving them a say in the development of the school and giving them opportunities to become confident and independent learners for the future. Our school has a strong vision: 'Aspire, Persevere, Achieve - ensuring life in all in its fullness'. This guides all that we do - we want our children to have high aspirations - and is underpinned by our core Christian values: compassion, joy and forgiveness.
We support an exciting curriculum, based on the needs and interests of the children, with many extra curricular opportunities, visits and sports to enrich learning. The school is well-equipped, set in spacious grounds and is able to provide outside learning areas, nature areas, forest school provision and a large sports field.
There is a great atmosphere at St Peter's, with a real team spirit and mutual respect and enjoyment. We work very productively with parents to do the best for the children and reach out to the local community to broaden the experiences we can offer.
Mental Health, safeguarding and wellbeing is a priority for our pupils, the community and the adults that work within the school and we have an amazing pastoral team that supports the whole community.
Our children only get one childhood and it is our aim to ensure that they leave St Peter's with lasting memories, high aspirations, good friendships and equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to be successful as they move on to their next adventures.
Please do take a look through our website and do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information.
