Our Vision in Action
At St Peter's C of E Primary School, we aspire to ensure 'life in all its fullness' for every child. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the Church of England's vision for education, our school community embraces the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, moral and social development of all children. Through our ASPIRE vision and curriculum, we empower our children to persevere with life's challenges, achieve their personal best, and flourish as compassionate, joyful and forgiving individuals. Together, we encourage and build each other up, creating a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Our ASPIRE vision guides all that we do and this enables everyone to flourish. Some examples are below:
Curriculum enrichment - giving our children new experiences and ensuring 'life in all its fullness'.
Opportunities for children to develop their confidence and aspire in creative subjects through our annual performing arts festival.
Our ASPIRE curriculum has been shaped by our vision. All subjects are equally important and play a vital part in developing the whole child - enabling all to flourish.
Strong links with St Peter's Church - our local community supports our vision
Ambitious productions, enabling children to push themselves out of their comfort zone, aim high and flourish!
Strong pupil voice opportunities - developing future leaders and showing children that their voices hold power and can lead to change!
We empower our children to take action and be the change they want to see. Our St Peter's challenge and involvement with Young Leaders Award, Christian Aid Global Neighbours Award and the National Younger Leadership Group supports this:
A high quality Forest School provision planned alongside our ASPIRE curriculum - ensuring 'life in all its fullness'.
Music is a highly creative and spiritual subject. We ensure ample opportunities for children to experience this - living life to the full.
Our behaviour, safeguarding, pastoral and attendance policies and procedures have all been developed to ensure that we encourage each other and build each other up - we are community at St Peter's who can aspire together.
